Family First Prayer Network
Welcome to the Family First
Prayer Network
Prayer Network
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a quiet life in all godliness and dignity."
--1 Timothy 2:1-2
Purpose
The purpose of the Family First Network is to encourage faithfulness among God’s people in Nebraska in praying for our state and national leaders, to strengthen and encourage our leaders through prayer, and to seek God's mercy, wisdom and guidance for our State.
Serving Nebraska in public office is a very serious responsibility. It takes a great deal of time and energy, and often requires extraordinary wisdom to make the best decisions for our State. The following are suggested areas for prayer.
Prayer ideas for our government leaders...
- that the wisdom to make good decisions would be sought and found (James 1:5)
- that they would be honest in financial and ethical matters (1 Timothy 6:10)
- that they would have compassionate hearts for the poor and needy (Psalm 72:13)
- they would have humility and a desire to serve others (John 20:28)
- that those who know God would serve by His power (1 Peter 4:11
- that priority would be given to family relationships and responsibilities (for quality time with their spouse and children if applicable)
On-going Family First Prayer Requests:
- Pray for God to provide wisdom and favor for future Family First projects, especially City on a Hill Youth Leadership Conference.
- Pray for God’s righteousness in our State and Federal courts.
- Pray for Family First Board members and their families; that God would bless them and give them wisdom.
- Pray that God's people will be moved to serve in the political arena.
