Family First Liason Job Description
Basic Liaison Duties:
- Find Your Legislators – consider identifying both for you and for your church.
- Work within the leadership of your church or organization to keep the leaders and members informed about issues affecting the family.
- Receive Family First emails. Pass along practical ways to stay informed and get involved.
- Coordinate and supervise voter registration twice a year, or as needed. Visit Family First’s Voter Information Center for a free packet to help you get organized.
- Prior to elections, distribute Family First Voter Guides.
Additional Ideas to Consider:
- Sign others up to receive Family First’s email updates.
- Maintain a Family First display. Free resources and brochures can be ordered from Family First.
- Get educated about Family Policy Issues and What Churches Can and Cannot Do.
- Consider joining or leading a Truth Project small group.
- Check Family First’s web site, www.familyfirst.org, regularly for information on current issues and upcoming events. There are many resources and links available to help you make an impact!
- Respond to and distribute Family First’s Action Alerts.
- Share testimonies, ideas, and comments with Family First.
