LB 274 was passed and signed into law by Gov. Heineman on May 26, 2009.

Synopsis:

Pursuant to LB 274, the Department of Correctional Services will have more authority to assign felons to be housed at the incarceration work camp.  The work camp is designed to reduce prison overcrowding by placing non-violent offenders in the work camp setting.
