LB 676 Women’s Right to Know

Synopsis:
LB 676 requires an abortionist to offer a woman seeking an abortion the opportunity to view an ultrasound image of her unborn child.  The bill provides:
•    The abortionist must offer the opportunity to view an ultrasound
•    He must do the ultrasound or he must give her information on where to get an ultrasound free of charge (such as a crisis pregnancy center)
•    If an ultrasound is performed, it must be completed at least one hour before the abortion
