Nebraska Voter Information Center
Welcome to the Family First
Voter Information Center
We are blessed to have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. But democracy has one key requirement--OUR PARTICIPATION.
As Nebraskans, this notion is especially true. We have the only Unicameral (one house government) in the Country. This is because the "second house" was intended to be the People's house. As a matter of fact, this reminder is etched in stone on the front of the capitol building--it states, "The salvation of the state is the watchfulness in the citizen."
One of the most practical of ways to get involved in public policy is to vote.
