Quick Start to Voter Registration

Quick Start Guide to Voter Registration

1.    Email your family and friends

Attach these two pdf files so they can easily print off a voter registration form and/or a request for early/absentee ballot.

1)  Nebraska Voter Registration Form
2)  Nebraska Early Voting Form

Be sure to include the link to the Secretary of State in order to find the address of their county election office to mail in their form(s).

Remind them they must re-register whenever you change:  Your name, your address, or your political party affiliation.

2.    Plan a voter registration drive.

Running a voter registration drive is simple.  Whether at your church, school, neighborhood, or summer get-together, registering voters is easy!  You will need:

  • a location for the drive
  • voter registration forms
  • black pens
  • tables
  • volunteers.

If you have wireless internet and laptops, you could also have computers set up opened to www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov.  Use this site to verify their information. Before starting, have the volunteer test it with their own information so they can see how it works.

Mail all completed forms to the appropriate County Election Official. You can mail all of the registrations for the same county in one envelope to that county’s County Election Office.
