J.J. Springer
Outreach Director

JJ Springer joined Family First full time in January 2004. As Outreach Director, he works to communicate to the community at large about the work of Family First, overseeing publications and church outreach.

He also coordinates City on a Hill, Family First’s Youth Leadership Conference for high school students. The week-long conference is one of the highlights of his year, as he has the opportunity to interact with teens and conduct worldview, leadership and apologetic training. He comments, “The stakes are incredibly high for our youth today. Much of the culture is designed to tear them down. We need to build them up so that they can not only survive the challenges that lie ahead, but thrive and be ready to be change-agents in the culture.”

A lifelong Nebraskan, JJ has an Education degree from the University of Nebraska, and has begun work on an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. In January 2005, he married the woman of his dreams, Carol. He enjoys reading (Tom Wolfe), traveling (the Pacific Northwest is beautiful), running (four marathons completed!), and taking Carol out for ice cream (preferably Cold Stone).
