Family First Legislative Action Center
Welcome to the Family First Legislative Action Center
We are blessed to have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. But democracy has one key requirement--OUR PARTICIPATION.
As Nebraskans, this notion is especially true. We have the only Unicameral (one house government) in the Country. This is because the "second house" was intended to be the People's house. As a matter of fact, this reminder is etched in stone on the front of the capitol building--it states, "The salvation of the state is the watchfulness in the citizen."
Things you can do to be a watchful citizen:
- Watch live coverage of bill debates and public hearings at the Unicameral.
- Contact your State Senator
- Contact your Federal Representatives
- Review the bills Family First is watching
- See "How They Voted" 2009
- See "How They Voted" 2010
